The winery in Byala is a proof that vineyard cultivation and wine production were some of the main industries in antiquity. The first signs of life on the St. Anthanasius Cape date back to the 6th century BC, and it is believed that the majority of the population was Thracian.

Aside from the winery, an ancient basilica, an ancient bath, antique ceramic vessels, kilns, and many other valuable finds can seen on the territory of the late antique fortress on St. Anthanasius Cape.

The late antique fortress and the winery in Byala are open to visitors every day from 10:00 to 20:00
